Vice Chancellor Candidates’ Presentations

Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) has embarked on a crucial process to select its third Vice Chancellor. The institution recently hosted its first-ever public presentation of candidates vying for the top leadership position.

A distinguished panel of five judges, chaired by Prof. Philippa Musoke, oversaw the proceedings. The search committee also included Eng. Dr. Dorothy Okello (Senate representative), Dr. Stevens Kisaka (Council representative), Dr. Medard Bitekyerezo (Council member), Dr. Nabaasa Evarist (Senate member), and Dr. Martha Kyoshaba Twinamasiko as the Committee Secretary.

Five highly qualified candidates presented their visions for the university’s future( Presentations attached):

 

Each candidate had the opportunity to showcase their qualifications, experience, and strategic plans during the public presentation. The search committee will carefully evaluate the candidates’ presentations and other materials to select the most suitable individual to lead MUST into its next chapter.
