Mandate and Responsibilities

The Office of the University Secretary supports effective University governance, managing the work of the University Trustees, its leadership and its committees.
The Office of the Secretary also administers the work of the University Council and its committees.

The University Secretary has overall responsibilities for the central secretariat and planning functions, the Registry and student services.

Policies - The University Secretary is responsible for curatorial aspects of the administration of Mbarara University of Science and Technology Policies and provides assistance in interpreting university policies and matters of jurisdiction and governance related to policies.
